IRTY Rolls-Royce-powered Foden 6x4 snowplough chassis has en ordered by the Department of Transport for delivery before 1982.
The 6x4 low-mobility chassis were designed by Sandbach Engiering Company (formerly Fodens) for the Department of TransTi. They are fitted with a Rolls-Royce Eagle 265 diesel engine lich was developed for the premium lorry market. It has a power tput designed to meet 7bhp per tonne requirements for 38-tonne hides.
