A If your company is a timber merchant
first and foremost and is therefore running its vehicles simply to carry timber on its own behalf, then it is outside the scope of the Road Transport Industry Training Board and normally would not qualify for a grant for driver training. If, however, the company pays levy to an industry training board — the Construction Industry training Board, for instance — it might be that reciprocal arrangements are in force between the RTITB and the training board within whose scope your company falls.
