• Grahams of Gildersome, the commercial vehicle body building group which went into administration last month, looks set to be sold off.
Julie Swan of London administrators Smith & Williamson says there has been a good response to an advert in the Financial Times offering the fourcompany group for sale.
The firms--Cargo Shield, M6 Trailers, Grahams of Scotland and parent firm Grahams of Gildersome—all went into administration on 25 June. They were all involved in various aspects of the manufacture of curtain-sided trailers, except for M6 which runs vehicles on contract-hire work.
Swan will not be drawn on when any sales might be completed, or whether some bits of the firm will be sold off individually, as many industry insiders expect.
