C&H HAULIERS has been authorised to base 30 vehicles and 75 trailers at the Aylesford Newsprint site. which processes recycled paper into paper fit for newsprint.
The firm transports reels of processed paper from the facility in Bellingham Way,Aylesford, to the News International print centre in Broxboume. Herts.
It took over the contract from DHL in December 2009including 29 DHL drivers as part of the deal after initially working as the main subcontractor.
C&H, part of the Charles Gee Group and based in 'Tilbury, Essex, has also been given permission to run 15 vehicles and 40 trailers at the base of Palm Paper in King's Lynn, Norfolk.
In February this year, C&H announced it was planning to add 25 new vehicles to its fleet, taking the total to g7, The company, which also transports forestry products and other paper products, says newsprint forms about 15% of its total volume of work.
