(Longridge) and four of the company's drivers £2,050 in fines and costs when they appeared before the Preston magistrates.
The drivers pleaded guilty to exceeding 41/2 hours' driving without the required break, insufficient daily rest and, in one case, making a false entry on a tachograph chart. Two other drivers were dealt with by an earlier court for offences that included the falsification of charts. The drivers were fined between £60 and £200, and each ordered to pay £10 prosecution costs.
The company admitted eight offences of permitting drivers to exceed 41/2 hours' driving time and take insufficient rest.
