MAXTED/ROBINSON Robert Crosthwaite, a director of Abels of East Anglia, has become president of the British Association of Removers. Prior to this, he worked at W H Smith, and for the Distribution Industry Training Board as an area manager.
Alan Maxted has been elected vice-president. Entering his family business at 16 years old, he now operates the removals side of the company.
Peter Robinson, managing director of Birmingham removal firm Robinsons International, is the new chairman of the Overseas Group of the BAR.
