As diesel prices soar fuel theft is an increasing problem. To help solve that problem Impact-G has launched a security system incorporating an anti-syphon sensor fitted inside the cab which triggers an alarm, siren/horn, pager or telematic unit if an attempt is made to remove fuel.
There are several versions of the Weasel sensor, one of which is also designed to detect the disconnection and removal of truck batteries.
The Weasel costs less than 1400, which is about the value of a full tank of diesel.
