FRESH FROM ITS too-40 posttion in the Sunday Times list of the top 100 best small companies to work for, Erith Haulage Company (EHC) is back in the black with pre-tax
profits of 2248,000 as turnover rose by more than 21.3m, up 9% to 216.7m.
The firm is part of the Erith Group which made it to 33rd spot in the list of companies with the most content employees.
The results, for the financial year ending 30 September 2006, are an improvement over the previous year when it reported a pre-tax loss of more than 2.500,000. The improvement was made despite a fire that destroyed a property owned by its Kent-based parent Erith Holdings as well as three EHC trucks.
