• Shipley-based metal processors Crossley Evans has acquired another 525hp (391kW) ERF EC14 52 eightwheeler with standard CELECT, Road Relay and Jacobs engine brake. It joins two other EC14 52's in Crossley's scrap-metal collection fleet.
Crossley makes collections around Britain but most of the work is "north of Watford", hence the larger Olympic cab.
ERF's Brighouse, West Yorkshire dealer Reliance CV supplied the 32-tonner with its Eaton Twin Splitter gearbox and HA40 air-sprung RT44-153 double-drive bogie.
A specially tailored PDE Geesink Rolonoff body system serves both the unit and its Wheelbase Engineering drawbar trailer.
