Lacsding restrictions in city centres can be a pain for traffic planners. They can be a pain in the driver's wallet as well. In areas where there is a restriction on loading there must be the appropriate signs. One, Iwo or three stripes on the pavement indicate restrictions on loading that are clarified by a sign.
Sometimes a driver is tempted to park his vehicle for the purposes of loading or unloading in a busy street in contravention of parking restrictions. Such drivers should be aware of the offence of leaving a vehicle in a dangerous position. If the parking of the vehicle in a loading or unloading operation causes other vehicles to divert or creates potential danger for pedestrians crossing the road the driver faces prosecution and conviction of that offence.
It is more serious because the offence is endorsable with three penalty points.
