Watford-based Igloo Thermo-Logistics recently became briefly famous when it raised capital by exchanging 22.5% of company shares for £160,000 on the TV show Dragons' Den. In addition to work with short lead-in times it has since secured major contracts, such as with Yakult yoghurt.
Igloo runs a Mercedes fleet, 7.5-tonne GVW at the top end, converted Smart cars for urban delivery of medical samples at the other. Set up by Alistair Turner and Anthony Coates-Smith, the company uses Masternaut tracking and Transcan temperature monitoring kit.
