has applied unsuccessfully for exemption from the proposed electricity cuts which are expected to take place periodically between now and March. The council drew attention to the fact that both the city trams and trolleybuses would be brought to a standstill if the cuts took place.
The municipality has been informed, however, that if cuts be necessary, they will have to be shared by industrial, transport and general consumers alike.
