BLACKPOOL Corporation's transport workers decided, on November 22, to seek a ruling from the Joint Industrial Council as to whether inspectors should be appointed from drivers or conductors, or men with experience of both jobs.
A deputation from the Transport and General Workers Union had asked the Transport Department for an interpretation of recent arbitration findings regarding a dispute over the appointment of eight new inspectors.
