• The Transport Tribunal has decided that the South Wales LA was too severe in curtailing the three Fred Jones and Co. (Swansea) Ltd. vehicles from its 11-vehicle A licence and has decided instead to suspend the three vehicles for six months. Fred Jones also appealed against the LA's decision to grant a B licence for two vehicles for one year only. Said the Tribunal's judgment: "The appellant's fleet of 15 vehicles had between them a total of 108 defects. We do not regard the LA's decision to grant only two vehicles for one year as being unduly harsh."
The appeal was dismissed accordingly.
