• The Transport Tribunal has completed its judgment on the appeal of W. G. R. Wightman (CM November 8).
The appeal arose from the refusal of the South Eastern deputy LA to grant a variation of the appellant's licence condition from "racehorses under training at licensee's establishment within 200 miles of Upham Post Officeto "horses under the care of the licensee at his establishment within 300 miles of Upham Post Office".
The Tribunal has allowed the appeal by varying the condition on the appellant's licence to read "racehorses (including brood mares and yearlings) under training at licensee's establishment within 300 miles of Upham".
