Most of the vehicle security devices that have come onto the market are either of high firstcost, difficult to fit or permanent once fitted. Quality Security Aids have just introduced a simple, cheap and interchangeable device which can be issued to a driver carrying a tempting cargo for use during that journey only.
It comprises a pair of stainlesssteel plates which are so designed that they surround the stem of the clutch pedal and are locked together in such a way that the pedal cannot be depressed. A key-registration padlock can be supplied also.
The unit has been designed so that once in position it is virtually impossible to attack it with a hacksaw or bolt cutters.
It can be fitted in a minute and although it is not claimed to he the ultimate in anti-theft devices it is sufficient to deter a would-be thief.
