• Hauliers and main agents seeking to switch from a policy of in-house wheel alignment can now realise the capital costs of equipment purchased previously, and re-allocate the valuable manhours involved in such a project
Steertrak's buy-back scheme provides credits or outright purchase (depending on specification) of laser wheel alignment systems, and kick-starts a fleet programme with the minimum of fuss.
As part of the deal, Steertrak provides a special fixed rate, regardless of location, and liaises with transport managers, tyre distributors and maintenance departments to ensure minimum downtime_ Ray Gibbons, managing director at Steertrak, estimates that up to 75% of in-house alignment schemes usually fail within the first six months. All of the laser systems recovered to date have been almost unused.
