Mike Spence in Liquidation
LIQUIDATORS HAVE been called in to Warrington-based hauler Mike Spence following a year blighted by thefts and controversy.
On 25 September, Andrew Rosier, of Ideal Corporate Solutions, was appointed liquidator of the firm.
Mike Spence left a deficiency of 2423.300, had nonpreferential debts totalling 2423,298, but available assets of just 22,432.
On 30 July, owner Mike Spence appeared on the BBC to talk about how three thefts over nine months had cost his business around 2100,000 (CM 4 June).
At the end of the report, the BBC said the firm had since closed, but an employee contacted CM to say they had not been informed of any closure and were unable to contact Spence regarding the future of the business and the wages which they were owed (CM 20 August).
