• The Department of Transport is warning international hauliers that they could be banned from their regular Sunday route between Calais and Belgium. An informal agreement to allow trucks through the Ghyvelde Corridor has broken down after the two French officials responsible for
it left their posts. The French Transport Ministry is happy for the deal to continue, but will not stop authorities from applying the ban on Sunday truck driving.
The British ConsulateGeneral is seeking a meeting with local officials in a bid to reestablish the Sunday passage.
