IVECO HAS taken the wraps off its new Daily van, which now comes with a 205hp, 3-litre diesel engine offering.
The new engine puts Iveco at the top of the van power rankings and the irm claims its new motor brings a 5% fuel eficiency improvement over the previous top power version. The changes to the Daily are triggered as a result of the new Euro-5 emissions standard for light CVs, which takes effect from the end of September for all new vehicle types and from January 2013 for all new vehicle sales. latter now being offered in a 146hp/350Nm While the new top power rating is the main rating. This version offers 20hp more than the improvement, the complete powertrain has reprevious generation, is 60kg lighter, and is up to ceived a makeover. Power still comes from a 10% more fuel eficient thanks to the introducchoice of 3or 2.3-litre diesel motor, with the tion of stop/start technology.
