• A number of truck models are included in the latest recall bulletin from the Department of Transport.
AWL) TL814s produced between 18 Sept and 19 October, identification numbers from LT 200403 to LT200683, should be checked for signs of bad machining on the front stub axle.
Mercedes 1621 models built up to December 1985 whose identification numbers are prefixed with 617 121 25 should be checked for signs of the weld shearing on the front of the propshaft.
Leyland Daf V300/400 chassis cowls (Sherpa) with ident numbers from 263211 to 819834 or 819835 to 880264 have suffered instances of front road spring failure.
Escort vans with the L3 HCS engine built. between 1 August 1988 and 30 April 1989 should have the ignition feed checked for signs of chafing on the servo bracket. Later Escort vans fitted with the 1.4 catalyst engine should have an additional heat shield added to the catalyst area.
Glow plug leads on dieselengined Escort vans built between 22 August 1988 and 23 May 1990 should be checked for signs of chafing on the cooling shroud. The left hand track rod arm on Steyr 13s14 and 13518 built in 1989 may crack in use.
Volvo F Series with D31 night heaters built between 1989 and 1991 may suffer from fumes entering the cab.
