ON THE ROAD
Deputy technical editor Kevin Swallow was road testing for future issues of CM. It saw him go all the way from Hinckley, to Durham, Doncaster and Sheffield, through Leicester, before returning back to Hinckley. Technical editor David Wilcox was with Volvo in Warwick discussing ways of taking weight out of 8x4 tippers, while technical reporter George Barrow was in Cramlington, Northumberland, to see Fergusons Transport. Content editor Laura Hailstone filmed Barrow being cut out of a Mercedes-Benz Atego by firemen from Great Holm Fire Station in Milton Keynes, as part of a training exercise.
