An important preliminary to retreading is a scrupulous examination of the cover to verify that all cords are intact. To facilitate this process a special examining machine is produced by this maker. Vulcanizing moulds are made in ten sizes, covering tyres from 4-17 to 190-20, or altogether 58 different casing dimensions. The moulds are of welded construction and have large steam cavities to ensure a minimum vulcanizing period. Three standard tread designs are available, but special designs can be engraved to order at extra cost.
