A NEW association for municipal transport officers is to be formed from the amalgamation of two existing bodies. From April 1 the Association of Municipal Transport Officers and the Institute of Municipal Transport Engineers are to amalgamate to form the Institute of Municipal Transport.
The new body is aiming to bring together all the operations' staffs from local government and public utility fleets and hopes to speak for all the bodies in talks with the Government.
