• Pembrokeshire County Council has equipped another 50 of its municipal vehicles with the latest ICS Black Box onboard computers, bringing the number in its fleet to 77.
Using new modem connections, downloading facilities have been improved so drivers no longer have to make long jour neys to their bases. The system monitors a range of parameters including date, journey times and speeds; it bleeps when the truck needs servicing.
Other functions can include fuel dispensing, vehicle security, midair*, GPS positioning and mobile data communications.
