Long standing independent Iveco dealership Northern Commercials has been bought by logistics specialist Clipper Group.
Logistics company Clipper Group has bought Iveco dealer Northern Commercials.The deal, says a group spokesman. will help the company provide its customers with a "complete logistics solution" and add "fleet management, knowledge and experience" to its ancillary companies.
Nrhern Commercials is expected to prwide running stock for Clipper Groupown d DTS and Clipper Security. Clipper Gro p chairman Steven Parkin has"exciting plan "for future development of the dealership. Ile says:"The acquisition of Northern Comknerciais is a highly targeted purchase of a suepessful business."
The acquisition of a :E45m-turnover company pushes the annual turnover for the Clipper Group to more than :E1/5m and comes on the back of its purchase of DTS Logistics in September 24 if
No change to the structure
On the whole the structure of Northern Commercials remains unchanged, although chairman Nigel Lucas is to retire. John Bullock becomes dealer principal and a director of the Clipper Group, Mike Badrockjoins the hoard.
The independent dealership was set up in 1971, it has sites at Brighouse and Morley at Leeds and sells a range of new and used lvecos and Fiats. •
