DRIVING AND warehouse staff at supermarket chain Asda could be on strike within weeks in a dispute over collective contracts.
GMB organiser Eddie Gaudie says other issues include: • The right to choose who conducts bargaining on behalf of the union • The company's refusal to pay out a bonus to 100,000 workers after making £650m profits A spokesman for Asda says it is surprised by the GMB's decision to proceed with a strike ballot.
An agreement at Dartford is close, he adds.
