A comprehensive range of British-made single-acting hydraulic extension jacks, with a maximum working pressure of 3.000Ib per sq. in. and a normal working pressure of 1,500lb per sq. in. has been introduced by Mobax (Hydraulics), Ltd.
The jacks are designed to give long trouble-free service without the need for regular maintenance, being constructed in soliddrawn hone-bore tubing, with the piston rods protected by polished hard chrome. Bearings are machined from phosphor bronze, while the chevron glands are of the most modern type and design. A full range of spare and replacement parts is available.
There are three basic types in the range, each being available in various lengths. These are the Type 12, with a capacity of 11tons (1,270kg), the 1-1-ton (1,780kg), Type 17, and the 2-ton 8cwt (2,440kg) Type 24. The jacks within each type-range have strokes of 1-18m., 1930in. and 31-48in., respectively, In addition to the standard range, other sizes can be produced to meet customers' requirements or specifications.
