• A bilingual staff began operating a 24hour repair service at Romford which was opened last week by R. Crawford Transport Ltd. and the Belgian company Trans-Inter. Mr. P. Hamilton, managing director of the company, told CM that the company is operating a 24-hour repair service in Romford and Liege for international hauliers. The UK unit deals only with Continental vehicles while only UK vehicles will be handled in Belgium.
In addition to servicing and repairs the organization provides for the transhipment of loads from unserviceable vehicles to replacement vehicles. Before the scheme was launched Mr. Hamilton met representatives of 50 operators in Belgium to put them in the picture.
