separate identity
A PLEDGE that the Scottish Road Passenger Transport Association will retain its identity when it becomes the Scottish Council of the Confederation of British Road Passenger Transport later this year was made last week. At the SRPTA's annual conference (see report p49) members were told that Mr Bill Murray, director of operations of the Greater Glasgow PTE, is to become chairman of the new Scottish section. He will become a non-voting member of the Confederation's council after all these changes have been confirmed at its annual conference in Eastbourne in June.
Mr George Robb, immediate past president of SRPTA, assured members that the Scottish body would continue as a separate entity and would look after the needs of its own members.
