• Leyland Daf has its new 55 Series 4x2 middleweight on show in 17-tonne/210hp form with a Telehoist skiploader body alongside 75.240 6x4 and 85.330 8x4 tippers, both with muckaway bodies.
Foden is featuring its latest high-roof, double-bunk cab on a 4000 Series tractive unit (fitted with Cummins' N14E 500hp engine) and rigid tippers including the 3000 Series 6x4 fitted with a 325hp Cat engine. Foden is also displaying Caterpillar's 14.6-litre 3406E engine.
Sinia's new 4-series is there: the 460hp R144 and the 400hp R124 tractive units accompany a trio of 3-Series rigid chassis. Volvo is showing the FL10 8x4 tipper with Powertronic transmission, as operated by Ken Longthorne (see pages 42-44 of this issue), along with an F1.12 8x4 and an FH12 6x4 tractor.
Renault is of course showing the new Premium range (see pages 16-17) and the face-lifted Midliner.
ERF has the EC11.40ST tractive unit on display (as tested this week see pages 50-55) along with an EC11.34 eight-wheeler and a lightweight ES8 6x4 with Cummins power.
Another lightweight 6x4 is being shown by Seddon Atkinson: the 26-tonne Strato appeaN for the first time with 275hp Cummins Cseries power. Other Seddons at TipCon include a 350hp tractor and a commercial version of the LA 17-tonne tipper, previously dedicated to municipal work.
MAN is showing two Euro-2 versions of the F2000 8x4 tipper; one the 35.403VF onloff road model driven by CM this week (see page 20); the other is an air-suspended 32.343VFL "Highway" model. They are also showing an L2000 7.5-tonner and a pair of F2000 tractors.
Mercedes-Benz is showing the 3234 8x4 tipper and an 1820, along with a 2527 6x4 tipper fitted for the first time with rubber suspension.
