• The Royal Mail is delivering post and people with a fleet of new Vauxhall Brava pickup post buses. An initial order of 65 has already been made, and the first of the double-cab vehicles is running in Scotland. Others will be introduced to England by the end of the year.
Bodies have been added to the Royal Mail pickups by Island Plastics of Cowes on the Isle of Wight; they include storage compartments for the mail.
Dave Hutchings, national fleet engineering manager for Royal Mail, says the flexibility of having both two and four-wheel drive was a key factor in picking the Braves.
