• Parceline loses a £100,000-ayear contract to rivals Securicor and Parcelforce this week after a five-month trial with shock absorber manufacturer Woodhead.
The Ossett-based manufacturer plans to choose one of the two hauliers at the end of a six-month evaluation. The successful firm will be responsible for collecting 100 30kg parcels from its factory in West Yorkshire at 17:30hrs every day and delivering them to more than 600 outlets in Britain the next day (CM1-7 July).
