Chris Hart left his role of used sales and export manager at Mercedes-Benz dealer Ciceley Commercials and started Trucks2Go in 2005. The business was initially based at Blackrod, Boon, and Phil Martindale, owner of the site, came into the business as an investor and partner.
As the business grew, Hart's parents were brought into the operation — Stan to help with vehicle movements, and Eileen on accounts — followed by Dave Weinberg, sales, and Paul Christey as general manager. In April 2009, Paula Jefford purchased a 50% stake in the business. Today there are eight employees, with Andrew Pitfield and Liam Farnworth valeting and delivering the vehicles.
