THERE will be well over 300 exhibitors at this year's Commercial Motor Show, which opens at Earls Court, London, on September 20. Major new British vehicles will be making their debut, while among foreign companies exhibiting for the first time will be MAN, Saviem, Chrysler France, Toyota and Mazda.

The show, which ends on September 28, is open daily, except Sunday, from 10 am to 8 pm. Admission price is 60p.

As announced this week, Vauxhall is revealing its important new heavy-truck range at the Show; and announcements from other manufacturers will include heavy-truck and light-van ranges from makers in Cheshire and Birmingham, two new eightwheelers, British versions of recently introduced Continental ranges, and very interesting bus and coach developments.

CM will be carrying these announcements in illustrated features in the issues of September 6, 13 and 20. The Show itself will be extensively covered in: SHOW PREVIEW NUMBER, September 13: a concise rundown on significant vehicle exhibits, plus previews of accessory, component and service equipment on display. Cut-away drawings of new models. SHOW NUMBER: September 20: A 30-page standby-stand coverage of truck, bus, coach, trailer and bodywork exhibits. Full-colour photos and detail drawings of new and modified vehicles.

SHOW TECHNICAL REVIEW, September 27: Extensive staff-written assessments of significant developments in vehicles and trailers; the technical Editor's appraisal of cab layout with comments from drivers interviewed at the Show.
