• Tibbett and Britten's Iceland contract fleet of 90 artics and 170 semi-trailers has been switched over from a traditonal mechanical truck wash system to the latest low-pressure method from Vikan Transport Services.
"There are no electricity costs, no wasted spray and it's user-friendly too," says distribution shift manager Les Brook.
Instead vehicles are washed with the extendible VTS Nitoclean Foam Gun which supplies the water-fed brush with the appropriate amount of detergent. Water is then removed by the Wipe'n'Shine squeegee with its curved and bevelled flexible rubber blades, which are designed to avoid marking the paintwork or livery.
