• North Eastern DTC Mark Hinchliffe took no action against the licence held by Boldon, Tyne & Wear-based G O'Brien & Sons (Nationwide Demolition Contractors) at a Leeds disciplinary inquiry. He called for a further maintenance investigation.
Licence lost • The illegal use of red diesel has led to the revocation of the licence held by Grays, Essexbased Darren Smeeth. Eastern TC Geoffrey Simms also suspended Smeeth's HGV driving licence for three days following a conviction for falsifying tachograph records.
Accounts required
• Southall-based Aggregate Services was granted a new two-vehicle licence at an Eastbourne public inquiry on condition that accounts to March 1999 are submitted by August 1999, and that vehicle inspections are carried out in October and April 1999.
Conditions imposed
• A string of environmental conditions were imposed on the licence held by Park Royal Haulage when the use of its operating centre at Warth Road, Bury was reviewed at a Bury public inquiry.
