• The Vehicle Inspectorate has announced a whopping 10% rise in the fees it charges for annual tests of commercial vehicles. From 1 August, it will cost 235.30 to test a three-oxled vehicle, or 255.80 if it is done out of hours.
Other fees rise in line with these, except for duplicate certificates where the fee remains at 29.50.
