CERAMICS technology and its application to engine components was the subject of the 21st John Player Memorial Lecture to the Institution of Mechanical Engineers given on Wednesday by Dr Alec Parker, managing director of AE Developments.
The applications under development to which he referred included insulation, improvement of wear resistance, reduction of mass, increase of operating temperature and the reinforcement of metals.
