Independent dealer Chris Hodge is moving into the 3.5-tonner market "It's a change of culture for us," says Fledge. "We're dealing with a different type of customer, but we recognise that there's a huge mass of people out there who want to buy 3.5-tonners, and we aim to meet their needs." The move certainly isn't because Hodge is short of heavy truck customers. The volume of UK and worldwide enquiries and business generated by his company's Internet site is growing by 20% month on month, he says. "We've got the web site address on the sides of our racing trucks—you have to tell people where you are, because search engines aren't much use—and we're being contacted by people who would never have dealt with us before.
