• The National Joint Negotiating Committee meeting which was discussing the TGWU claim for an improved salary structure for 13RS salaried staff, was adjourned by the action of the union side. Mr. W. J. Walsh, TGWU national secretary, said afterwards that this had happened because of the "attitude being adopted by the management side-.
