• Three 33ft Daimler Fleetlines with Willowbrook 44-seat bodies similar to the example illustrated are the first rear-engined buses to he delivered to Burton upon Trent Corporation Transport and also the first single-deckers to be introduced by the undertaking for many years. Burton has now ordered three 30ft Daimler Fleetline double-deckers and orders for similar buses have been placed by Walsall (15), Rotherham (12), Grimsby-Cleethorpes (8), Doncaster (8) and Swindon (4). Seven 33ft Fleetline double-deckers have been ordered by West Bromwich Corporation Transport, and the above orders, together with one from Teesside announced exclusively in CM this month. make a total of 67 repeat orders recently received by Daimler Transport Vehicles Ltd. Daimler, incidentally, built more double-deckers than any other British bus builder last year.
