• A new B licence was refused to J. P. Donnelly, a Warrington secondhand furniture and antique dealer, at a public inquiry in Liverpool on Wednesday by the North Western deputy LA, Mr. G. K. Newman. There were two objectors.
Mr. Donnelly had entered into an agreement with James Bradley, of Knowsley, to purchase one vehicle and the goodwill relating to removals undertaken in the Warrington area. Mr. Newman said the agreement was badly worded in referring to Bradley's entire haulage business of two licences and four vehicles.
The vehicle now on C licence spent two days a week on his own business, said Mr. Donnelly, and removal inquiries would be passed to him by Bradley.
