Tipper man Les House was this week elected Mayor of the London Borough of Hackney. Les is the first Conservative Mayor of Hackney for over 30 years. Those who attend the annual Road Haulage Association conference and the tipper operators' conferences will know that the new Mayor has mastered the art of catching the chairman's eye when he wants to make a point from the floor. He must now master the Chairman's art of evading the eye of would-be speakers!
