Graco has introduced new 'portable air-powered and handoperated lubricating units and accessories. They are the lightweight 45:1 ratio air-powered grease gun called the Fireball Handi-luber, and a hand-held unit called the Charger. Both units are claimed to be as easily portable as a pail of grease.
The complete Handi-luber unit consists of air-powered pump with carrying handle, pail cover with thumbscrew attachment, follow plate, 6ft (2 metres) of -sin. (6.35mm) I.D. hose, valve and 6in. (152mm) of hydraulic adapter.
The unit fits all sizes of small grease-pails and is designed for high volume high pressure lubrication with the heaviest greases.
The Lube Charger is made up of a 6.000 psi. (420 kg/cm2) hand booster gun fed by an aircharged grease reservoir filled
when necessary from a plunger pail-pump.
The factory air-charged reservoir holds 12ozs (1-kg) of grease— sufficient for greasing up to 200 points without refilling—and can be used on the pump or detached and clipped to the operator's belt for easy movement around the work-piece.
Several reservoir, hose and gun assemblies may be purchased for use with a common loader pump, pail cover and follow plate assembly. The remainder of the unit consists of 3ft (1 metre) lube hose and hydraulic adapter.
