Holt Products Ltd. has developed an oil additive, known as EP5, which is a viscosity im prover and is claimed to combat wear during cold starts, high load running and long periods of high-temperature idling. It cleanses pistons and rings and prevents the formation of varnish, carbon and gummy deposits. Sludge build-up is also prevented.
The oil additive is claimed to be effective for 5,000 miles running. A can of 10 fluid ounces is sufficient for petrol and diesel engines having sump capacities of up to 81, pints. Made by: Holt Products Ltd. Holt House, 12-14 Sydenham Road. Croydon, Surrey.
Price: 10 fluid ounce can, 12s.
