• Carlisle-based Auto Recovery is putting a Bonifacedesigned rescue truck into serv
ice fitted with side winches which allow vehicles to be pulled along parallel to the recovery unit.
The £70,000 wrecker, an 8x2 conversion of an Iveco Ford 4x2 chassis, has a gross train weight of 70 tonnes and won the award for the most innovative design at the Association of Vehicle Recovery Operators show.
It has four hydraulic legs and two 15-tonne winches.
