• MAN chief executive Wilfried Lochte has confirmed that his company is joining with Daimler-Benz to bid for Spanish truck builder Enasa, which owns the Pegaso marque.
Lochte says that, if successful, MAN will take a 60% stake in Enasa, Daimler-Benz would take 20%, and the remaining 20% would be retained by the Spanish state.
MAN faces competition for Enasa from Daf, Volvo and Fiat.
