Rockwood Holdings is to three former Bees' insport depots. This follows ff cuts earlier in the year en Rockwood made 200 reidant by shedding Bees' ual customer base.

When Rockwood took over Bees Transport (CM 25-31 May) executive chairman Douglas Dunbar said that Bees would be concentrating on high-security distribution and would be shedding its former ad hoc collection and delivery and express parcels business, because "huge scale efficiencies are needed to succeed in
that (parcels) market".
At the time, Dunbar said that six Bees' depots would be retained — including those at Hinckley, Morley and Sawston. He declined to comment on the closures as Commercial Motor went to press. 0 Rockwood International Freight has opened an office in Bangkok for freight forwarding between Thailand and Rockwood group subsidiaries worldwide.
