• Advances in CV braking technology must be monitored to avoid the risk of incompatible systems, says the European Transport Maintenance Committee. Other proposals at its London conference included continuing efforts to maintain international compatibility of braking equipment, improved testing procedures, and more research into trailer-dominant and load-sensing valves. Also at ETMC this week, Eaton revealed that it is testing sixspeed automatic versions of its 4106 model.
